Ingredients:

1                   first-cut rib roast - (abt 6 lbs)
4     teaspoons     McCormick Italian Seasoning
2     teaspoons     McCormick Season-All Seasoned Salt
3/4   teaspoon      McCormick Ground Black Pepper
1     cup           water
                    === FAMILY STYLE BEEF GRAVY ===
1     package       McCormick Brown Gravy Mix - (0.87 oz)
2     tablespoons   flour
1 1/2 cups          water
1/2   cup           beef drippings
Directions: one line for each direction. When saved the lines will be numbered.
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place meat on rack in shallow roasting pan. Combine next 3 ingredients and press evenly into surface of meat.

  2. Roast, uncovered, 20 minutes per pound or until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees for medium-rare or 160 degrees for medium. Add water to baking pan after 1 hour of bake time to use for drippings.

  3. Remove roast from oven and transfer to platter or carving board. Let stand 10 minutes before carving. Serve with Family Style Beef Gravy.

  4. Family Style Beef Gravy: In a medium saucepan, combine McCormick Brown Gravy Mix with flour. With a whisk, gradually stir in 1 1/2 cups water and beef drippings. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.

  5. This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
