1 pound dried kidney beans
1 pound smoked sausage
7 cups water or stock
1 cup barley
2 garlic cloves
3 bay leaves
Directions: one line for each direction. When saved the lines will be numbered.
Rinse beans, cover with cold water and soak overnight.
Drain off water the next day. Put beans, barley and remaining ingredients into crockpot. Stir. Cover and cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours. Remove bay leaves. Salt to taste when serving.
