1 small orange
2 small limes
1 1/2 pounds Granny Smith apples
1 1/2 pounds fresh young ginger
1 1/4 cups water
3 1/2 cups sugar
Directions: one line for each direction. When saved the lines will be numbered.
  1. Seed unpeeled orange and limes; finely chop. Pare apples and core; pare ginger. Coarsely chop apples and ginger.

  2. In a large saucepot bring orange, limes, apples, ginger and water to a boil; simmer, covered, until tender (about 40 minutes). Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Bring to a boil and boil gently, uncovered, stirring often toward end of cooking, until thick (about 1 hour).

  3. Pack in containers. Store in freezer.
