Ingredients:

8     slices        Italian peasant bread, 1/2" thick
2     cups          snow crab meat - (abt 4 oz)
2     tablespoons   regular or low-fat mayonnaise
2     teaspoons     sour cream
1/2   teaspoon      dry mustard
4     teaspoons     finely-chopped chives
                    Freshly-ground black pepper
Directions: one line for each direction. When saved the lines will be numbered.
  1. Grill the bread, or toast it in a 350 degree oven until the bread is golden brown.

  2. Using a fork, in a bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard, and 2 teaspoons of the chives. Season to taste with pepper.

  3. Spread each crisp with one-eighth of the crabmeat mixture. Sprinkle with the remaining chives, and serve.

  4. This recipe yields 8 servings.

  5. Comments: Blending snow crab with a minimum of seasonings -- just a bit of mayonnaise and sour cream, and a touch of mustard -- shows off its fresh, briny sweetness. These crisps heaped with snow crab, will disappear quickly at your next party.
